IT ASSOCIATE Department/Division: Gearing-up Internet Literacy and Access for Students (GILAS) / Center for Social Development (CSD) Location: AFI BPI Office Description of the Job: The position directly reports to the Manager - GILAS. Specifically, the job holder will perform the following tasks: - Coordinate with the schools on schedules of validation visits, delivery of equipment, set up of laboratory, installation of phone/Internet by Telecommunication Companies (telcos)
- Assist and/or conduct project orientation
- Conduct schools validation visit, assess and recommends approval/disapprova l of schools
- Prepares requisitions of equipment and coordinates with supplier on the delivery of equipment
- Coordinate with the local field offices of telcos on the installation of phones/Internet
- Coordinate with project partners such as DepEd, telcos, academe, volunteers, and other organizations helping in the connectivity of public high schools
- Draft reports related to GILAS operations
- Maintain the database of GILAS-Operations Team (e.g. running list of connected schools, status of schools)
- Provide technical support to schools through monitoring, coaching, and helpdesk
- Conduct GILAS Training to schools
- Set up computer laboratory in the school
- Perform other functions that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
Selection Criteria: - College graduate in any IT related course
- Hardworking, organized and is a team player
- Good coordination, oral and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable in computer networking, network administration, hardware, software, Internet and database
- With skills in training
